Höglandsförbundet is a municipal association formed by the municipalities of Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in the Småland highlands, value collaboration and know that we become stronger together. Today, we host a number of different operations working for the benefit of the entire High Country region.

Within Höglandsförbundet, there is also the High Country Educational Cooperation, which currently consists of Höglandsgymnasiet with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have approximately 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3,000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in working life or further studies. In the summer of 2026, the High Country Adult Education will also join, with locations in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Your new job

We are looking for a subject teacher in Swedish and another subject at Aleholmsgymnasiet.

As a subject teacher with us, you play an important role in the students' knowledge development. You plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching with a focus on creating good conditions for learning and goal achievement. You are responsible for assessment and grading in accordance with current regulatory documents. Mentorship may be included in the position.

The assignment includes developing teaching together with colleagues and creating learning environments that promote students' motivation, curiosity, and learning. We actively work on analyzing students' results and adapting teaching to give each student the best possible conditions to reach their full potential.

As a teacher at Aleholmsgymnasiet, you are an important part of the school's joint development work. You contribute subject-didactic competence, share experiences with colleagues, and participate in efforts to strengthen the quality of teaching. We value professional collaboration where we jointly take responsibility for students' knowledge development and the school's continued development.

About you

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility in Swedish and another subject. It is meritorious if you have previously worked at a high school and have experience from teaching in other subjects as well. For the position, you must have good computer skills.

As a person, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate and inspire learning. You take responsibility for your own work and work systematically to move forward in your own planning and teaching. You see the importance of building good relationships with students to motivate learning. You are a natural leader in the classroom and have a good ability to collaborate with others. As a person, you contribute to a positive and developing work climate together with your colleagues.

Aleholmsgymnasiet is part of Höglandsgymnasiet, a collaboration between high schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda, all of which belong to Höglandsförbundet. Together, we work to create a strong and innovative educational environment that benefits our approximately 3,000 students, of whom approximately 250 attend Aleholmsgymnasiet.

Good to know

The position is 100% with a start date of September 17th or as agreed. Interviews will be held during week 32.

To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct eligibility, we ask you to attach a valid teaching license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education and not older than two months.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement according to the School Act that you present an extract from the criminal record register for work within schools. You request this extract on the police website.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by showing a valid passport or a certificate of personal status together with a valid ID document. A certificate of personal status is ordered from the Tax Agency under "My Pages." If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been checked, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
